Quality Assurance
Quality assurance involves the systematic review of educational provision to maintain and improve its quality, equity and efficiency. It encompasses institution self-evaluation, external evaluation (including inspection), the evaluation of educator and management, and student assessments. NZQE has processes to ensure the quality of education so that learners get the skills they need and education organisations provide qualifications that are relevant to market needs.
The Quality Assurance Framework has embedded the Plan, Implement, Monitor/Review, and Improve (PIMI) quality assurance and continuous improvement model .
The framework is committed to the following quality management principles:
· a continuous improvement approach embedded at all levels of the business
· evidence-based and inclusive decision-making processes
· monitoring outcomes against its stated goals, performance indicators and targets
· using internal and external review mechanisms to identify improvement opportunities and implement action plans and mitigation strategies
· developing a culture of ownership, participation and responsiveness where all staff understand their individual and collective responsibility for quality processes and outcomes.
The NZQE monitors the quality of learning outcomes and the systems and processes education organisations use to achieve learning outcomes. It does this through our experts and system. Our experts in the New Zealand Qualifications Authority standardisation and they will help your institution to meet their requirements.
